Dialogue veterinary imaging provides more than just a report. We are always available to discuss cases further, brainstorm, and answer any questions about imaging, whether it be related to positioning or modality selection. Dr. Hanna is the main radiologist providing imaging interpretation, but when she is unavailable, we ensure there will be another board-certified radiologist reading cases through the same platform. We strive to be an integral extension of your practice and are always just a phone call away.

Dr.
Ashley
Hanna

Ashley Hanna is a pacific northwest native, born and raised near Portland, OR. She grew up riding and competing horses, which is where her interest in veterinary medicine first developed. She started veterinary school at The University of Edinburgh and earned her DVM at Oregon State University in 2013. Following veterinary school, Dr. Hanna completed an internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in New Jersey and continued to Washington State University to pursue a diagnostic imaging residency. Her love for teaching and desire to work in a collaborative environment kept her at WSU following her residency, where she worked as a faculty member for five years. During this time, she co-authored several book chapters, contributed to multiple journal articles, helped train interns and residents, and dedicated a significant amount of time to improving internship and residency training programs within the University. Following her time at Washington State University, Dr. Hanna moved back to the Portland metro area to be closer to family, where she started Dialogue Veterinary Imaging. She spends her free time with her family (including horses, cats, and dogs), skiing, and taking care of her small farm.

Dr.
Tom
Wilkinson

Tom Wilkinson grew up near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His father was a Hall of Fame quarterback in the CFL (the name and the city go together; his name was also Tom). Tom Jr. started working at the local racetrack (thoroughbreds) at 13 as a groom and continued at the track as a groom, trainer, starting gate assistant, and veterinary assistant over the next 15 years. His veterinarian boss convinced him to go to veterinary school, and he started at the University of Saskatchewan in 1999. After three years as a general practitioner in southern Alberta, Moore Equine Veterinary Services sponsored his radiology residency at Washington State University, where research was being done on racehorse injuries using MRI. Following three years as the radiologist for Moore Equine and a local small animal specialty hospital, he returned to Washington State University as faculty in 2012. Dr. Wilkinson then enjoyed another 12 years of teaching, research, and clinical work at WSU and is now joining Dr. Hanna at Dialogue Imaging. Dr. Wilkinson is a big sports fan and a big fan of his family (spouse Kelli, dogs Dave, Mitty, and Kyle Jackson, retired Thoroughbred racehorse Big Bad Brown, and his father, mother, and sisters that still live in the Edmonton area). He enjoys being a poor golfer and a good(ish) 3d printer (anatomy, surgical guides, casts, toys). He enjoys all modalities, but his favorite is the one that gives the fastest and simplest answer for a given case.
